Reflection of Life

Marsha Denise Mathis was born on July 3, 1955 in Washington, DC to the late Roslyn Cooper and Harvey Hodges and additionally raised by Joyce Brooks and William Rice. Marsha graduated from DC public school and worked an exemplary career until she retired in 2018. Marsha was many things during her life - a daughter, sister, co-worker, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother it is impossible to explain the impact she had on the lives around her. Marsha will be truly missed.

Marsha's personalty wa unforgettable, she was loving, caring and giving Marsha was funny and outspoken, "she said what she meant, and meant what she said!"; and we all knew she was a "shopaholic". Marsha always brought the family together with the best parties.

Marsha leaves to treasure fond memories her devoted husband Firman (Bo), her loving children Kelly, Firman, Erica and Nicole (deceased), grandchildren, Brierra, Brien, Kneeno, Marlon, Javon, and J'Quan, her great-grandchildren, Bryce and Jru. 9 siblings, Patricia (deceased), Adrieene (Anthony), Marcia, Zeitte, Pam, Harold (deceased), Stanley, Andre, and William, and a host of family and friends.
