Reflection of Life

Mildred Annie Foster(Tu Tu), the fifth of seven children was born in Abingdon, Virginia not far from West Virginia on July 6,1920 to the late William and Lucy Cotton. At an early age Mildred moved and started her education with her Aunt Ellen, who was a school teacher in Pennsylvania. After a few years Mildred returned to Abington to complete her education. While ;living in Abington, Mildred became very proficient at tap dancing. There she and her younger brother, Harry were well known throughout the area for their tap dancing skills After graduation, Mildred decided to move North to explore career opportunities by joining her older siblings in Arlington, Virginia.
